How to Install Official XXLRG Android 4.0.4 ICS Firmware Update / ROM on the Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 ?
- Backup all your important data, contacts, call logs, bookmarks, internet settings etc. on your Galaxy Note although it’s an optional step which is done for better recovery if anything gets messed up while installing the firmware or ROM on your phone.
- Charge your device’s battery up to at least 50%.
- Disable your device’s firewall or antivirus, if you are having any such applications installed on your device.
- Enable USB debugging on your device from here – Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging.
- Install all important device or phone drivers on your computer, else you can also install Kies to get that done instantly.
- Download Odin flashing tool on your computer.
- Extract the downloaded .zip file of Odin tool so as to start using it.
- Download the official XXLRG Android 4.0.4 ICS firmware or ROM package for your Galaxy Note from here – Download Now.
- Extract the download file i.e. N7000XXLRG_N7000DBTLRG_DBT.zip (firmware package) using any zip extraction tool.
- Now turn off your Galaxy Note and then enter into flash or download mode by pressing and holding these buttons - Volume Down Button + Home Button + Power Button.
- Connect your phone with the computer using a data cable.
- Now, start up Odin on your computer by opening this application file from the folder in which you had extracted the downloaded .zip file of this flashing tool - Odin3 v1.85.exe.
- Now, click on the ‘PDA’ button and then select this file - N7000XXLRG_N7000DBTLRG_N7000XXLRB_HOME.tar.md5 from the firmware directory straight away.
- After you are done with that, just click on the ‘Start’ button.
- That’s all, now just disconnect your device from the computer once you see the Samsung logo on your Galaxy Note’s screen.

Hello just did install of 4.0.4 and all is good too sonn to tell about batt issue but it runs much smoother by far and it was quick and easy about time Samsung sure isnt caring much about us end users of the products they sell
