How to Update Nexus S 4G with JRN84D Jellybean 4.1 Firmware – Tutorial
Procedure to Update Nexus S 4G with the latest Improved Jellybean 4.1 Firmware:
- Download the Jellybean 4.1 firmware from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and then you will have to place the downloaded zip file in your device.
- Once you have copied the file, disconnect the Nexus S 4G connected from the computer and turn off the same so that it can be entered in the recovery mode.
- The recovery mode in the Galaxy Nexus S 4G can be entered by Pressing the Volume down button and at the same time you need to press the power button to boot the device in the recovery mode.
- Select Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition and then reboot your device by selecting reboot system now with the help of Volume rocker keys. Also, you need to clear the “Wipe Dalvik Cache” from the Advanced Option. With the help of Volume rocker keys, select “++++ Go Back ++++” for going to the main home screen of recovery mode.
- Up next, select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” > and select the “Jellybean 4.1 Firmware Package” which you have placed in your device.
- Once the firmware file is selected, it will take around 4 -5 minutes for applying the update. Once its applied successfully, the device will be landing back on the recovery screen. In recovery mode screen, select “Go Back” and then choose the option of “reboot system now”.
Note: If your Galaxy Nexus S 4G device doesn’t shown up the country selector or say gets stuck on the Galaxy Nexus S 4G logo then you need to re follow all the instructions..
