Procedure to Update Galaxy SL I9003 with Jellybam 4.1.2 Firmware:

• Download the latest Jellybam 4.1.2 Firmware Update from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and place the same in your device.

• Ensure that you are not placing the file deep into the sub folders as it may not be detected in the recovery mode.

• Assuming that you have downloaded the ROM Manager app from the Google PLAY Store, you now need to select the option of “Flash Clock Work Mod Recovery”. Once it’s done, select “reboot into recovery mode” so that the device gets into the recovery mode.

• Alternatively, you can also enter your I9003 into the recovery mode by Holding the volume Up button + the Home key button (the middle button) and while holding these both keys, press the Power button for turning the device ON in the recovery mode.

• Now, in recovery mode select “Wipe data/factory reset” & “Wipe Cache partition”. Also, select “advanced” and clear the Dalvik cache so that all the cache data is wiped off. Once it’s done, select “install zip from sd card” and then select the Jellybam Firmware Zip Package which you have placed in your device.

• Once the firmware is updated successfully, you will see the message on screen that “install from zip card complete”, now all you need to do is to just select “go back” and then select “reboot system now” for rebooting the device in the normal mode. Please note that it may take longer time than expected for rebooting the device and to show the hone screen.

• To check on whether the update has successfully applied or not, you will need to check the same from the path “Settings > About Phone” where the firmware version will be mentioned as “Jellybam 4.1.2” firmware.

Note: Just in a rare case if the device doesn’t boot up or show the home screen then remove the then battery and reinsert the same to boot the device again in the normal mode.

Procedure to Update Galaxy SL I9003 with remics ICS Custom ROM Firmware:

• Download the Remics Custom ROM Firmware Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your phone to the computer with the help of original USB cable and then place the zip file in your device. Disconnect the device and turn off the phone so that it can be entered in recovery mode. The recovery mode can be entered by pressing the Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button.

• In the recovery mode, you need to select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the Remics Custom ROM Firmware Package which is placed in the phone. It will take around 3 – 4 minutes for applying the update. Also, you will see that the device might just stay on the S Logo for more than 3 -4 minutes.

• Once the update process is completed, the device will again land back to the recovery screen. In the recovery screen, select “++++ Go Back ++++” and then choose the option of “reboot system now” for rebooting the system. If in any case if you come across the force close errors then all you need to do is to just enter the device in the recovery mode and wipe all the cache data as well as wipe all the data present in your device.

Tip: Just in case if due to some reasons if the update process gets failed or interrupted, then you need to apply the update again by following the steps again from the start. Don’t forget to restore the backup which you have taken in the initial steps.

Once placed, disconnect the phone connected from computer and Open the ROM Manager app in your Samsung Galaxy SL I9003 to select the option of “Flash Clock Work mod Recovery” and then once its flashed successfully, select “Reboot into Recovery Mode” option in ROM Manager.

• In recovery mode, select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the Resurrection Remix firmware package which you have placed in the device along with the Google Apps Package. It will take around 3 -5 minutes for applying the update.

• Once the firmware is updated successfully, the device will be rebooted and you will be prompted to enter the Google Account and Wi Fi Settings. • Disconnect the device and turn off the same so that it can be entered in the recovery mode. Press and hold the Volume Up + Home buttons together, and then press the Power button till you see the Green Android Robot along with the Recovery mode options list. If the device boots up in the normal mode, retry the process.

• You can also boot the device in the recovery mode by selecting the appropriate option in the recovery mode.
