Download and install - Update samsung Galaxy S 4G with Paranoid Custom ROM Firmware

Procedure to Update Samsung Galaxy S 4G with latest Paranoid tablet based custom ROM firmware:
  • Place the zip files in your phone, ensure that you are not placing the file deep into the device as it may not get detected in the recovery mode. After placing the file, disconnect the phone from computer and turn off the same so that it can be entered in the recovery mode.
  • Hold the Volume Up button + the Home key button (the middle button) and while holding these both keys, press the Power button for turning the device ON in the recovery mode in your Samsung Galaxy S 4G .
  • In recovery mode, select “Wipe data/factory reset” & “Wipe Cache partition” and then select “advanced” and clear the Dalvik cache too if you are on the custom ROM firmware. Now, in the recovery mode, select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the paranoid Custom ROM Firmware package and Google Apps Package which you have placed in the device. Once selected, it will take round about 4 – 5 minutes for applying the update.
  • Once the update is applied successfully, you will now need to select “go back” and select the option of reboot system now. Once the device is booted successfully, you can see that the device is updated with this latest paranoid custom rom firmware.
Note: If at all your Samsung Galaxy S 4G gets in the boot loop sequence then you need to turn off the device and then reapply the update from the start. To turn off you can reinsert the battery or say you can long press the power button.

How to Update Samsung Galaxy S 4G T959V with Slim Bean ICS Firmware

Procedure to Update Galaxy S 4G with Slim ICS Custom ROM Firmware:
  • Download the Slim ROM ICS Package and Galaxy S 4G Zip package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, you now need to connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and then place these files in your internal SD Card. Once its placed, you need to disconnect the device and turn Off the device so that it can be then entered in the recovery mode.
  • The recovery mode in Galaxy S 4G can be entered by pressing Volume Up Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. In recovery mode, select options “Wipe data/factory reset”, “Wipe Cache partition” to clear all the cache present in the device. Disable all the lag fixes if there are any in your phone or else the device may even brick.
  • Select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” after which you will see that it will take around 6 – 8 minutes for applying this update. After this, you need to select “++++ Go Back ++++” and then select “reboot system now” to reboot the phone in the Slim ICS firmware.
  • Now, in recovery mode, select options Wipe data/factory reset” and “Wipe Cache partition” to get away from the force close issues. Now, in recovery mode, select “Go back” and “reboot system now” for rebooting the device in the normal mode. To check on the firmware has been updated or not, you need to check from the path Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version where you will see that the firmware version as Slim ICS firmware.
Note: Just in a rare case if your Samsung device refuses to turn ON or say if it gets stuck on the Samsung Logo then you need to long press the power button to turn off the same or re insert the battery to start the process from the start.
