Download-install and Manual Update Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000 with Official Kitkat 4.4.2 XXUDNE4

 How to update 10.1 N8000 Galaxy Note with Android OS 4.4.2 Kitkat:
Download Android 4.4.2 0S Kitkat Package from here to your computer along with the Odin file. Once downloaded, extract Odin in your computer and turn off the N8000 Galaxy Note 10.1.

    
Enter your N8000 Galaxy Note 10.1 in download mode. By holding the Volume Down key + Home key button (the middle button). Hold these two buttons, you must turn on your device.

    
If Galaxy Note 10.1 is in the normal mode, then you must use the command to retry the device into download mode.

Download-install and Manual Update Galaxy Note 3 with Official XXUEND6 Kitkat 4.4.2 Firmware (Battery Optimized)

  • Download Kitkat 4.4.2 Firmware Package and Odin from here to our computer. Once downloaded, extract both the zip files in your computer and then turn Off your Galaxy Note 3 so that it can be entered in the Download mode.
  • After turning off the device, you need to press Home + Power + Volume down buttons to enter Galaxy Note 3 in the Download Mode. If device enters in the Normal mode, then you need to re try the process of entering the device in the Download Mode.

  • Check the firmware version from the path “Settings > About Phone” to check the firmware version which should read as XXUEND6 Kitkat 4.4.2 Android OS.
Note: If at all your Galaxy Note 3 smartphone gets in the boot loop mode, then you need to turn off the device and then reapply the update from the start. To turn off you can reinsert the battery or say you can long press the power button and repeat the whole process again.

A leaked document from Samsung has revealed the list of smartphones which are going to get the Android KitKat update, and the phones which are not getting it right away because of some issues which the company is facing on the devices during testing. The problem these days for the users isn’t with the compatibility of the apps with the OS version, but the need for the latest OS to get the newer features which they don’t find in the current / previous OS version in their smartphone. Thus is the need for the latest OS version, and KitKat being the latest one, millions of users are waiting for the update to be rolled out for their device.

At the right time, Samsung’s document with the status is leaked, and it’s SamMobile who grabbed that to give the users a list of devices which might be getting the update in the near future, and for the ones whose update is delayed.

  • Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 SM-G7102 – Testing – ETA June 2014
  • Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 GT-I9152 – Testing – ETA June 2014

The Galaxy Note II LTE version update has been completed and it is waiting for the approval of the firmware center before it is rolled out to the devices.
The Galaxy Note 3 Neo’s KitKat update is waiting to be certified by Google.
The Galaxy S4 Mini’s firmware update is waiting the approval of the firmware center.

Quick Pre Requisites:

  • For applying this update, you will have to root the device.   • Download Odin along with the Rooting Tar in your computer and extract both the zip files.
  • Open Odin in your computer and turn off your device so that it can be entered in the download mode. Now, turn off your Galaxy Note 2 so that it will now have to be entered in the Download Mode.
  • Galaxy Note 2 can be entered into the Download mode by holding the Volume Down button + the Home key button (the middle button). While holding these both buttons, you need to switch ON your device.

Procedure to Update Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000 with Kitkat 4.4.2 Firmware:
  • Turn Off your device so that it can be entered in the download mode. Download mode in Galaxy Note 10.1 can be entered by holding the Volume Down button + the Home key button (the middle button). While holding these both buttons, you need to switch ON your device. If the tablet enters in the normal mode, you need to retry the process of entering the device in the Download mode.
  • Open Odin in your computer and connect your Galaxy Tab 10.1 device to the computer while in the download mode to see ID: COM section turns Blue. Once it turns blue, it will indicate that all the required drivers are installed successfully and select below mentioned files in Odin.
- Add AP_N8000XXUDND5.tar.md5 to AP
- Add BL_N8000XXUDND5.tar.md5 to BL
- Add MODEM_N8000XXUDND2.tar.md5 to CP
- Add CSC_OXA_N8000OXADND5.tar.md5 to CSC
  • Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked in Odin. Once the above files are selected, click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update. It will take around 3 -4 minutes for applying the update. Once the firmware is applied, tablet will be rebooted automatically.
  • It will take 5 – 7 minutes for loading all the apps and applying the update in the device. Don’t disconnect the device from Odin till you see the home screen in your tablet. Once you see the home screen, you need to disconnect the device from computer.
  • Head over to the path “Settings > More > About Tablet” to check out the latest version of firmware which will be mentioned as Kitkat 4.4.2 OS with the version detail as XXUDND5.
Note:  If at all your Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000 gets in the boot loop sequence then you need to turn off the device and then reapply the update from the start. To turn off you can long press the power button.
