Download-install and Update Galaxy S3 Mini I8190 XXANC2 with Official Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware

 

• Download XXANC2 Jellybean 4.1.2 Package and Odin from here to your computer for Galaxy S3 Mini I8190 . Once done, you now need to extract both the zip files and open Odin in your device.

• Turn Off your Galaxy S3 mini so that it can be entered in the Download Mode.

• Press and hold Home + Power + Volume down buttons to enter Galaxy S3 mini in the Download Mode. If your Galaxy S3 mini enters in the Normal mode, then you need to re try the process of entering the device in the Download Mode.

• Connect your phone to the computer while keeping Odin opened in your computer. Once connected, you will see that the ID: COM section will turn Blue/ Green/ Yellow indicating that all the drivers are installed successfully. Please note that it will take around 2 -3 minutes for applying the update.

• Click on “PDA” tab in the Odin to select the tar file which you got after extracting the firmware tar file to click on “Start” in Odin.

• Once clicked on “Start”, the process of updating the firmware will start. The whole process of firmware update will take around 3 -4 minutes and once done, the phone will be rebooted automatically.

• As soon as the device gets rebooted, you can then head over to the Settings > More to check out the current version details in About Phone section where it will be mentioned as XXANC2 Jellybean 4.3 Android OS.

• Very soon we will be coming up with the rooting procedure which will help you root the device and also will help you to install the custom ROM firmware which we will be coming up very shortly.

Note: If at all your Galaxy S3 I9300 smartphone gets in the boot loop mode, then you need to turn off the device and then reapply the update from the start. To turn off you can reinsert the battery or say you can long press the power button and repeat the whole process again.

Procedure to Update Galaxy S3 Mini with KitKat 4.4 Cyanogen Mod 11 Firmware:

• Download the latest Cyanogen Mod 11 Firmware Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your device to the computer with the original USB cable and place the zip file in your device’s internal memory.

• Once you have placed the file in your Galaxy S3 Mini, disconnect the device from computer and download the ROM Manager app from the Google PLAY Store. Now, select “reboot into recovery mode” for booting the device in the recovery mode. You can also enter the device into the recovery mode manually with the help of below mentioned step.

• Recovery mode in Galaxy S3 Mini can be entered by holding the Volume Up button + the Home key button (the middle button). While holding these both buttons, turn ON your device. Now, in the recovery mode you will have to select “Wipe data/factory reset” & “Wipe Cache partition” so that all the data can be cleared in the device.

• Select “install zip from SD Card” in the recovery mode to choose the zip file which you have placed in your device for installing the update.  Once selected, the update process will be completed within 4 -5 minutes.

Please note that it may take around 3 -4 minutes for applying the update. Once the device is booted, you then will have to follow the on screen instructions for setting up the device.
Note: If the device gets into the boot loop sequence or say gets stuck in the welcome screen, just re insert the battery and re follow the above instructions so as to again follow the above mentioned instructions.

Procedure to Update Galaxy S3 Mini I8190 with Jellybean 4.1.2 DXALL7 firmware:

• Download with Jellybean 4.1.2 DXALL7 firmware Update Package & odin from here to your computer. Once downloaded, you need to extract the same in your computer preferably to the desktop.

• Now, turn off the device so that it can be entered in the Download Mode.  The download mode in Galaxy S3 Mini I8190 can be entered by pressing  Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Now, a Warning message will be shown when you need to press the Volume Up key to continue entering the Download Mode.

• Once the download mode is entered, you will have to Open Odin in your computer. Connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and then all you need to do is to just ensure that the ID : COM section has turned yellow /Blue depending upon your Odin version. If the ID: COM section doesn’t turn Yellow / Blue, you will need to re install the drivers / KIES tool in your computer.

• Once the ID: COM section turns yellow / blue, you will have to click on “PDA” to select “” and then click on “Start” tab in Odin for starting the process of firmware update. As soon as the update is applied successfully, you will see that the device will be rebooted.

• Once you see the home screen or the country selector code, you will need to disconnect the device from computer and check whether the firmware has been updated or not. To check, navigate to the path “Settings > About Phone” where you will get to see the Firmware version as Jellybean 4.1.2 DXALL7.

Note: Just in a rare case if your Samsung device refuses to turn ON or say if it gets stuck on the Samsung Logo then you need to long press the power button to turn off the same or re insert the battery to start the process from beginning.

• Turn Off your Galaxy S3 Mini I8190 so that it can be entered in the Download Mode.
