  • Turn off or uninstall your device’s antivirus or firewall.
  • Make sure your phone’s battery is at least 50% charged.
  • Confirm that your device is right now running on an official ICS firmware. If it doesn’t, then flash an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich ROM on your phone before going to install this CM10 JB ROM.

  • Download the latest version of CyanogenMod 10 (CM10) Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (JB) ROM from here – Download Link.
  • Download the Google Apps Package from here – Download Link.
  • Now, download this file - CM10 Fixes.zip, which will fix almost all the issues with this ROM and will let it get started initially.
  • Now, turn on USB debugging on your Samsung Galaxy S from here – Settings > Applications > Development.
  • Connect your device with the computer using a data cable.
  • After that, transfer all the downloaded .zip files onto your device’s internal SD memory card i.e. the ROM, the Google Apps Pack and the CM10 Fixes Package.
  • Now disconnect your phone from the computer and then turn it off.
  • After that, enter into recovery mode by pressing and holding these buttons – Power + Volume Up + Home.
  • In recovery mode, select – Wipe Data/Factory Reset and then confirm your selection right after that.
  • Now select - Install Zip from SDCard > Choose ZIP from SDCard.
  • Right after that, choose the .zip file of the CyanogenMod 10 ROM from your device’s internal SD card and then confirm the installation of the firmware by selecting – Yes, Install ___.zip.
  • In the same way, also flash up the Google Apps and CM10 Fixes Package on your device using ClockworkMod recovery.
  • Once you have installed, all the downloaded .zip files on your device, just select – Advance > Fix Permissions.
