How to Update AT&T Galaxy S3 with Parandroid Custom ROM firmware
Procedure to Update AT&T Galaxy S III with Parandroid Custom ROM Firmware:
- Before proceeding you need to ensure that your Galaxy S III is rooted. To check, you need to download the “Root Checker” app from Google PLAY Store. This firmware can only be applied on the rooted devices and not on the non rooted devices.
- Download the Parandroid Custom ROM Firmware Package & Google Apps Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your device to the computer with the help of USB cable and place these two zip files in the device. Ensure that you are not placing the files deep into the sub folders.
- Now, disconnect the device and turn off the device so that it can be entered in the recovery mode. Galaxy S3 can be entered in the recovery mode by pressing the Volume Up Key, Center button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button.
- Select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” with the help of Volume rocker keys and press the power button to select the “Jellybean AOKP 4.1.1 Firmware package” and “Google Apps Package”. It will take around 4 – 5 minutes for applying this update.
Note: Just in a rare case if your Samsung device refuses to turn ON or say if it gets stuck on the Samsung Logo then you need to long press the power button to turn off the same or re insert the battery to start the process from beginning.
