Tutorial to Update Galaxy ACE 2 I8160 with Jellybean 4.1.2 XXMB2 Firmware:
  • Now, all you need to do is to just turn off your Galaxy ACE 2 so that it can be entered in the Download mode. Download mode in Galaxy ACE 2 can be entered by pressing Volume down Key, Center button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button after which a green robot will be shown indicating the Download Mode has been entered.
  • Open Odin in your computer and connect your Galaxy ACE 2 smartphone with the computer using the original USB cable. In Odin you will see that the ID : COM section will turn Yellow indicating that all the drivers are installed successfully.
  • In Odin, click respective tabs to choose the corresponding files. Ignore the .dll file.

  • Once selected, click on “Start” for starting the process of firmware update. As soon as the firmware update process is completed, you will see that the device will be rebooted automatically.
  • Till you see the Language selection / Country Selector option, don’t disconnect the device from computer. It may take longer time than expected for the device to reboot as it’s the first reboot after the upgrade.
  • To check whether the firmware has been updated to the latest version or not, head over to the path “Settings > About Phone” where you will get to see the firmware version as “Jellybean 4.1.2 XXMB2” firmware version.

  • First you will need to have the Active Wi Fi Connection in your device. Turn ON the Wi Fi and head over to the path “Settings > About Phone > Software Updates” to check on whether there are any software updates available or not. Procedure to Root Galaxy S Advance I9070 on XXLQ4 Firmware:
  • Download Rooting Package for Galaxy S Advance from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your phone to computer with the help of original USB cable and then place the Root.Zip file in your device’s external SD Card.
  • Now, disconnect the device and then turn Off your phone so that it can be entered in the Recovery mode. Recovery mode in Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070 can be entered by pressing Volume Up Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. In recovery mode, select “clear cache” and “wipe data / factory reset” so that all the data will get cleared from the device.

Tutorial to Update Galaxy S2 GT I9100 with Jellybean 4.1.2 XWLSR Firmware:
  • Download Jellybean 4.1.2 XWLSR Firmware and Odin from here to your computer. Once downloaded, extract both the files preferably to the desktop to a folder. Now, open Odin in your computer.
  • Turn Off your Galaxy S2 GT I9100G smartphone so that it can be entered in the Download Mode. Download mode in Galaxy S II GT I9100G can be entered by pressing Volume down Key, Center button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button after which a green robot will be shown indicating the Download Mode has been entered.

Download and install Update Galaxy ACE S5830 with Jellybean 4.1 Styled Revolution Custom ROM Firmware

Procedure to Update Samsung Galaxy ACE S5830 with Revolution Light Custom ROM Firmware:
  • Download the Revolution Custom ROM Firmware package from here to your computer. Once downloaded connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and place the downloaded zip file in the internal memory of your device.
  • Now, disconnect the device from computer and download the ROM Manager app from the Google PLAY Store. Open ROM Manager app and select the option of “FLASH Clock Work mod Recovery” so that the custom recovery image is flashed. Up next select “Reboot in Recovery Mode” for entering the device in the recovery mode.
  • Once the device boots in the recovery mode, select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and select the Revolution Light Custom ROM Firmware which you have placed in your device.
  • Please note that once the file is selected, it will take around 4 – 5 minutes for applying this update and once it’s placed, you will need to select “Go Back” and “reboot system now” for rebooting the device in the normal mode. Download and install Update Galaxy S3 Mini I8190 with Official Jellybean 4.1.2 DXALL7 Firmware

Procedure to Update Galaxy S3 Mini I8190 with Jellybean 4.1.2 DXALL7 firmware:
  • Now, turn off the device so that it can be entered in the Download Mode.  The download mode in Galaxy S3 Mini I8190 can be entered by pressing  Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Now, a Warning message will be shown when you need to press the Volume Up key to continue entering the Download Mode.
  • Once the download mode is entered, you will have to Open Odin in your computer. Connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and then all you need to do is to just ensure that the ID : COM section has turned yellow /Blue depending upon your Odin version. If the ID: COM section doesn’t turn Yellow / Blue, you will need to re install the drivers / KIES tool in your computer.
  • Once the ID: COM section turns yellow / blue, you will have to click on “PDA” to select “” and then click on “Start” tab in Odin for starting the process of firmware update. As soon as the update is applied successfully, you will see that the device will be rebooted.
  • Once you see the home screen or the country selector code, you will need to disconnect the device from computer and check whether the firmware has been updated or not. To check, navigate to the path “Settings > About Phone” where you will get to see the Firmware version as Jellybean 4.1.2 DXALL7.

  • Download XXLSA Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware Package from here to your computer along with Odin in your computer. Once downloaded extract both of them preferably to the folders on Desktop. Once extracted, open odin in your computer and turn off your Galaxy Note so that it can be entered in the Download Mode.
  • The download mode can be entered by pressing Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Just in case if the device turns ON in the normal mode, you will have to again retry entering the device in the download mode.
  • Connect your phone to computer with the help of original USB cable and then you will see that the ID : COM section will turn Yellow which will mean that all the drivers have been installed successfully and you are ready to proceed to the next step wherein you will have to click on the below mentioned corresponding tabs to select the file from extracted firmware package.

  • Make sure that Re-Partition option is unticked and nothing should be added in the PIT section. Once you are done with all the above mentioned selections, you can now head over to the next step wherein you need to click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update.
  • It will take around 3 -4 minutes for applying the firmware, once the firmware is updated successfully you will see that device will be rebooting on its own.
  • To check on whether the firmware is updated or not, head over to the path “Settings > About Phone” for checking the same where you will see the version details as XXLSA Jellybean 4.1.2 firmware.

  • Download Jellybean 4.2.1 Firmware Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and place the zip file in your device.
  • Disconnect the device and download the ROM Manager app from the PLAY Store. Just in case if you are unable to enter the device in the Recovery Mode, you will need to enter the device in the recovery mode manually with the help of below mentioned step.
  • Galaxy Nexus I9250 can be entered in the recovery mode manually by pressing and holding the Volume Up + Volume Down and then press the Power button to enter the device in the recovery mode.
  • In recovery mode, you need to select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” to select the “Jellybean 4.2.1 Firmware Package” which you have placed in your device and with the help of Volume buttons and Power button, select the same.
  • Once the firmware is updated successfully, the device will read the message as “install from sd card completed”, now select “go back” and “reboot system now” for rebooting the device in the normal mode.
Note: If by any chance you come across with any issues related to phone not booting or device getting into the Boot Loop Mode, then you will need to re follow the above mentioned instructions to apply the update.
