How to Root Galaxy Note 2 N7100 ?

Procedure to Root Galaxy Note 2 N7100 Android Phone:
  • Turn Off your device so that it can be entered in the download mode. The download mode in Galaxy Note 2 N7100 can be entered in recovery mode by pressing the Volume Up rocker key + power button at the same time while the device is turned Off. If the device starts in the normal mode, you need to re try the process of the entering the device into the download mode.
  • Connect your Note 2 with your computer / Laptop and then in Odin you will see that the ID : COM section will turn Yellow indicating that all the drivers are installed successfully.
Note: If ID : COM section doesn’t turn Yellow, you need to check with two things which are mentioned below,
        Install the USB Drivers in your computer &
        Go to the Path “Settings > Wireless & Network > USB Settings” and ensure that “Samsung KIES” option is ticked before connecting the phone to the computer.
  • Click on “PDA” to select “cwm6-root-note2.tar.md5” and once you have selected the file, click on “Start” for starting the process of firmware update. Once the rooting process is completed successfully, the device will be restarted. Please be informed that the device will take longer time than expected for rebooting the device. You can disconnect the device once you see the home screen.
  • To check your device is rooted or not, you can check the same from the app “Root Checker” which can be downloaded from the Google PLAY Store. If the device is rooted it will show that the device is rooted, just in case if the device is not rooted then you will have to repeat the whole process.
Note: Just in a rare case if your Galaxy Note 2 device doesn’t boot up or say if it refuses to how up the home screen, then Long press the power button to turn it Off and follow all the above instructions again from the start.

Procedure to Update AOKP 3 Firmware Update in Galaxy S2 and in Galaxy S3 Device:
  • Download the below mentioned corresponding firmware from here to your computer and Google Apps package. Once downloaded, you will have to connect the phone to the computer and place these two files in your device. Kindly select the appropriate file for your Galaxy Smartphone or else it may even brick the phone.
  • Once you have placed the file in your phone, turn off the device so that it can be entered in the recovery mode.
  • Recovery mode in your Galaxy S2 or S3 device can be entered by holding the Volume Up button + the Home key button (the middle button). In recovery mode, select Clear cache and wipe all the data present in your phone so as to make sure that there are no force close errors after applying this update.

Note: Just in a rare case if your Samsung Galaxy S III refuses to turn ON or say if it gets stuck on the Samsung Galaxy Logo then you need to long press the power button to turn off the same or re insert the battery to start the process from the start.

  • The recovery mode in the Galaxy ACE S5830 can be entered by Holding Menu Button and then Power ON the device. If the device turns ON in the normal mode then you need to try again to enter into the recovery mode.

Download and install - Update Galaxy S3 LTE I9305 with Official Jellybean 4.1.1 XXALI5 Firmware

Step-By-Step Instructions:
Step 1 - Download Android 4.1.1 I9305XXALI5 for Galaxy S3 to your computer and extract the zip file.
Step 2 - Download ODIN v1.85 which will help you to install Android 4.1.1 on Samsung Galaxy S3 I9305.
Step 3 - Switch OFF your phone. Now go to Download Mode. How? Press and hold the Volume Down + Home buttons together, and then press the Power button till you see the construction Android robot and a triangle. Press Power again to confirm to enter into Download Mode.
Step 4 - Make sure you have your Galaxy S3 USB drivers installed on your computer.
Step 5 - Open ODIN on your computer. Connect your phone to your computer while your phone is in the Download Mode.
Step 6 - If your phone is connected successfully, one of the ID:COM boxes will turn yellow with the COM port number. This step might take some time.
Step 7 - Now select the files that you have to flash/install on your phone. These files are to be found from the extracted files in Step 1.
  • Click on ‘PDA’ and select file with ‘CODE’ in its name.
  • Click on ‘Phone’ and select file with ‘MODEM’ in its name. Ignore this step if there is no such file.
  • Click on ‘CSC’ and select file with CSC’ in its name. Ignore this step if there is no such file.
  • Click on ‘PIT’ and select the .pit file. Ignore this step if there is no such file.
Step 8 - In ODIN, check the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options. As for the Re-Partition option, check it ONLY if you selected a .PIT file in the above step.
Step 9 - Now click on the Start button in ODIN. Installation process will start and would take a few minutes to complete.
Step 10 - After the installation is completed, your phone will restart. After you see the home screen, unplug your phone from the computer.
That’s it. Your Samsung Galaxy S III LTE has now been updated to Android 4.1.1 build XXALI5 firmware update. Go to Settings > About phone to verify.

Install ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM) on Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300

 

How to Install ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM) on Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300


  • The process may result in losing all of your data like apps, messages, contacts etc. So first of all take back up of all data to work risk-free.
  • Uninstall the antivirus from device (if any).
  • Don’t let the power of the device to create any problem for you. So keep your device charged at least 50 percent.
  • Download the ClockworkMod from here.
  • Download Odin v3.04 from here
  • Extract Odin3_v3.04.zip
  • Enter your Galaxy S3 into download mode by pressing the Volume Down + Power + Home buttons together.
  • Now connect your Galaxy S3-I9300 to your computer by using USB cable.
  • On successful attachment, you will see the “Added” message in Odin window.
  • In Odin, click the PDA button and select the ClockworkMod.zip file from there.

  • Download XWLPX Firmware Package and Odin from here to your computer. Once downloaded, extract both the zip files preferably to the desktop. Now, turn off the computer so that it can be then entered in the download mode.

  • Disconnect the device and follow the on screen instructions so as to use the device in the normal mode. Just in case if you are getting force close errors, turn off the device and enter the device in the recovery mode. In recovery mode, select Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition and then reboot your device by selecting reboot system now with the help of Volume rocker keys.

To enter recovery mode manually, press Volume Up Key + Menu button and then press the Power button to enter the device in the recovery mode. If the device boots up in the normal mode, then again follow the above steps so as to boot the device in the recovery mode.
  • Now, in recovery mode select “Wipe Cache” and “Wipe data/factory reset” so as to make sure that all the data is wiped off successfully or else you may get errors like Force Close. Now, select “install zip from internal sd card” to get an array of files which are there in your device. Select the Omega 15 Firmware Zip file which you have placed in your phone with the help of Volume keys and power button.

  • Download XXLQ3 Modem Package & Voice Calling Zip Package (For users on Stock ICS 4.0.4 Firmware) from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your Galaxy Tab to the computer with the help of original USB cable and place the two downloaded zip files in the device.
  • Once placed, disconnect the device from computer. Download “ROM Manager” app from the Google PLAY Store and install the custom recovery image by selecting the appropriate option in the ROM Manager app.
